Striking 12
UK Premiere

'Waterloo East deserves to be laded for bringing new musical work to London and there is enough charm and charisma from this small cast to bring a little festive cheer to Waterloo'
Fourthwall Magazine

'More artfully crafted and engaging than virtually all the standard-mold musical coming out way these days'
Charles Isherwood - The New York Times

'Striking 12 is indeed a holiday show that has more heart and fun than most of the manufactured entertainments competing for your consumer dollars'
Frank Scheck -The New York Post

Striking 12 is a concert-with-a-stroty, band-is-the-actors, secular holiday show which combines old fashioned uplift with a healthy dose of 21st-century skepticism. Weaving a modern-day New Year's Eve into Hans Christian Andersen's classic fable 'The Little Match Girl', this unique hybrid of musical theatre and live concert tells the story of a grumpy, overworked New Yorker whose resolve to spend New Year's Eve alone crumbles when an unexpected visitor brings some much-needed cheer. The show springs to life through an eclectic score that combines indie rock, pop, folk, jazz and Broadway into one cohesive score.
